Hengtong is proud to contribute to China’s largest integrated offshore photovoltaic demonstration project featuring solar power, hydrogen production and refueling, and energy storage, which was successfully connected to the grid for power generation recently.This is also the first PV project for tidal flat ecological remediation in China, combining advanced PV technology with intelligent control systems to achieve efficient energy conversion and storage. Integrating hydrogen production and utilization to further enhance efficiency, it is expected to generate an average of approximately 460 million kWh annually, equivalent to saving 151,000 tonnes of standard coal, and reducing CO2 emissions by about 309,400 tonnes, SO2 by about 5,626 tonnes, and NO2 by about 11,253 tonnes.Over recent years, Hengtong has proactively developed a clean energy industrial cluster covering wind and solar power, energy storage, charging, and intelligent green electricity-based hydrogen energy, actively contributing to the green transition.

On December 14, 2025, H.E. Mr. Mustafa Madbouly, PM of Egypt, held a grand launch ceremony in Aswan Province, announcing the official operation of the Kang Ombo Photovoltaic Power Station, in which Hengtong proudly participated.  Covering an area of 10 km² with an installed capacity of 500 megawatts, the Kang Ombo PV Power Station is expected to reduce some 760 tons of CO2 emissions each year.  Thanks to its large-scale PV project expertise and localized Hengtong Optic-Electric Egypt Co., S.A.E. and services, Hengtong won the entire power cable package from the project’s EPC contractor China Energy Engineering Corporation Ltd. In so doing we are proud to further involve ourselves in the sustainable development of Egypt and the MENA region.

It emphasizes direct and indirect GHG emission reductions and removal enhancements within the value chain.

Hengtong ranked 395th on the 21st edition of the World's 500 Most Influential Brands list, which was exclusively compiled by World Brand Lab and unveiled on December 12 in New York. From November 13th to 15th in Lima, Peru, Mr. Cui Genliang, Chairman of the Board and Founder of Hengtong Group, attended the “Sustainable Business Leaders Dialogue 2024” at the invitation of the China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC). From Nov 6th to 8th, 2024, the Global Optical Fiber and Cable Conference, co-hosted by the Asia-Pacific Optical Fiber and Cable Industry Association (APC) and Hengtong Group, unfolded in Suzhou, China. Nearly 600 guests from more than 30 countries, including academicians and experts, leaders of well-known telecom operators, and representatives of optical fiber and cable industry enterprises, discussed the development and cooperation in the field of global optical fiber communications. This is Hengtong’s second time since 2019 to co-host the event, and we are proud and privileged to be involved in charting the course of global optical communication industry hand-in-hand with our global partners!

On October 22, Her Excellency the Senior Minister of State for the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) and Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY) Low Yen Ling to Hengtong's booth! Hengtong showcased outstanding submarine power cable EPCI&M project, highlighting it's commitment to supporting Singapore’s Energy Transition and Green Power Import through cross-border interconnections.As a leading company headquartered in Suzhou, which is celebrating the 30th Anniversary of Suzhou Industrial Park, one of the largest economic cooperations between China and Singapore, Hengtong commits itself to long-term development in Singapore.

At this year’s event,  Hengtong showcased latest achievements in green manufacturing across the optical communication industry, including next-generation ultra-low-loss optical fiber technology and low-carbon ultra-thin air-blown microcable solutions. In the meantime, Hengtong's innovative solutions in lightweight flexible optical cable solution, advanced antennas, leaky cables, and seamless indoor and outdoor wireless signal coverage are ready for more efficient and convenient connectivity. Hengtong's specialized solutions, including ultra-long-span aerial cables, high flame-retardant fire-resistant cables, and cutting-edge sensing technologies, have been tailor-made for telecom operators.

The 2024 list of the top 500 Chinese enterprises was published on September 11 by the China Enterprise Confederation and the China Enterprise Directors Association at the 2024 China Top 500 Enterprises Summit Forum. Hengtong Group got the 156th place, marking a rise of 15 places from last year. Hengtong Group also ranked 55th among the top 100 strategic emerging industry enterprises and 94th among the top 100 multinational companies, reflecting its continuous innovation and global growth.

Hengtong Group was invited to attend the 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation in Beijing this September. Under the witness of H.E. Moustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister of Egypt and H.E. Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology of Egypt, Hengtong signed a multi-party MOU with Information Technology Industry Development Agency, ITIDA, Telecom Egypt, and the National Telecommunication Institute (NTI).Through this collaboration, Hengtong will further strengthen infrastructure cooperation and talent cultivation in Egypt, reinforcing its commitment to the connectivity building in the country and the region.
